About

Chappell is a native New Yorker and grew up on family-owned farm. After graduating from college, he worked in private industry for 30 years.  Over time, his childhood interests in architecture and crafts evolved.  Independent study, including international travel, combined with workshops in traditional skills at Eastfield Village, East Nassau, New York, resulted in the founding of ARS in 2018.  To strengthen his knowledge, Chappell is an active member of Early American Industries Association and The Rushlight Club.
